What qualifications do I need?

Our writers need to hold a 2:1 UK degree from a UK university. We will also require you to have a good command of English with excellent writing and grammar skills. You will need to have a high level of knowledge in more than one discipline and continually want to improve your knowledge and skills. Also the ability to work under pressure is a must!

How much do you pay?

Our rates vary according to word count, delivery and assignment complexity.

[ Top ]

How will I be paid?

You will need to have a UK bank account as we pay by Internet banking. If you are therefore residing outside the UK you must look into opening a UK account.

[ Top ]

How often do you pay?

We pay fortnightly at the end and the middle of the month. Our bookkeeper processes your invoice and statement of works, which is then forwarded to you by email. It will show the work that has been completed during the previous two week period. The statement of works transfers the copyright of the work to us.

How long will I need to wait to hear if I am successful or not?

We aim to reply to applications within 48 hours. Please note that this may be slightly longer during bank holiday weekends.

What is the application procedure?

Once your application has been approved the next stage will be a telephone interview. If the interview is successful you will be sent some documents to read, sign and send back to us. This will include a Services Agreement and Compulsory Presentation and Writing Standards (amongst others). You will then be asked to complete a trial personal statement for us to assess the quality of work. If you are successful you will be paid for the trial.

Do you need to see proof of my degree certificate?

Yes, you will either need to send us a copy with your signed documents or scan and email us a copy in order to start working for us.

Do you only accept self-employed writers?

Yes we do. If you are not already self-employed, it is a very simple process to do. If you would like further help and advice about becoming self employed, there are many websites which can offer you details for free. You may also want an objective point of view from an organisation such as The Citizens Advice Bureau (for UK residents).

Am I obliged to accept every piece of work you offer me?

No. You can accept as many as you want to or are able to. If you reject an assignment all we would like to know is the reason why. This helps us keep a record of any particular subject areas, or urgent deadlines you are not comfortable with. Sometimes we may be able to extend the deadline for you.

We always try and avoid penalising our writers if possible, but of course, we do have penalties in place to avoid delays, plagiarism and bad quality work. Our clients expect an excellent quality of service and our writers are an important part of that process. We do not charge penalties to further our own profit.
